Happy Summer Ice cream Printable tags !

I haven't posted any  free printables for a while but I came across these by Oh Happy Day and they were so gorgeous that I had to post about them! If you have a birthday in the summer then these would be so fun to use as part of the décor or to even use as invites!

Tuesday Tales from the Week - A beautiful wedding!

The main event of the week was the gorgeous wedding of our good friends Katie and Phil. (I went to school with Katie so have known her over 20 years!) It really was a beautiful affair in the Cotswolds with a chic black and white colour scheme which I loved. The venue really looked stunning!

Here are all the details!

  • The bride wore a stunning dress by Enzoani with a black ribbon and I loved her hair (done by our good friend Mel
  • I especially adored the crisp whites of the flowers. They just looked beautiful and there were loads!
  • The black and white bunting looked fab against the old stone walls.
  • All the details like the spotty suitcase for cards, the LOVE sign and the frames on the table plan looked so chic!
  • I couldn't resist posting a pic of the girls minus Katie including me looking extremely pregnant and huge (nearly 38 weeks!) in a dress lent by my friend Jenny by Tiffany Rose. Didn't all the girls look glam and gorgeous? And colour coordinated!

Have a happy week!

Friday Home: Yellow Accessories for the Kitchen !

I've been on mission to brighten up my kitchen and update a few accessories and what could be brighter than yellow!  Luckily tons of places are having sales at the moment and I really lucked out at Zara Home who had an amazing sale (and you have to make the £15 crazy delivery charge worthwhile if you don't have a Zara Home near you that you can pick up from!) I also found a few other bits from Ebay and Habitat.

Here is what I picked up...

First up textiles all from Zara Home:

1.  These yellow and pink tea towels are a great combination colour wise and I love the pattern too.
2. I adore the natural textures of these bamboo placemats which are hard wearing and versatile enough to use inside and outside. They were a bargain in the sale so I picked up six!
3. I cant resist a stripe and these oven gloves ticked every box for me!
4. You can never have enough tea towels and I liked this bright yellow paisley pair which look lovely with our green walls.

5.  I have had a pink version of these plastic tumblers for ages but they got a bit cloudy in the dishwasher so I updated them for these yellow ones from Zara Home.
6. My bread bin was looking a bit tired - I love the curves on this one I picked up from an Ebay shop called Iron Online. A bargain at only £14 too.
7. Lastly I couldn't resist this yellow tray from Habitat which will be lovely for drinks al fresco!

What do you think of my sale bargains? Are you loving yellow too?

Happy Friday!

Summer Cleaning whilst on Maternity Leave !

Hi all!

Now I'm on maternity leave I have a big list of things to do and lots of them include cleaning, sorting and getting things in order for the new arrival! So I thought I would let you know the jobs that I have on my list just in case some of you have any tips for me!

Pinterest

  • Clean the Oven. As we all know this is a horrible job and one that I didn't particularly want to do especially being pregnant with all those fumes. Luckily I found a Groupon voucher (£30) which meant that someone could come in and do this for me. I'm taking full advantage! Is it bad that I'm excited?

  • Organise the kitchen cupboards.  You know those American shows where they have all the cereals lined up in those plastic containers - Yep I want that! I also need to re-arrange where everything goes as I'm sure having three different cupboards for wine glasses, tumblers and coffee mugs is pretty much a waste of space!!  I need to throw away all those jars and bottles that are probably past their use by date too!  I'm channelling Cassie at Hi Sugarplum in this great post!

  • Clean out the fridge - Another job where I am totally cheating and getting someone in to do this! I just don't fancy scrubbing out the horrible stains and it will be much more manageable once it has been blitzed by a pro.

  • Sort out my wardrobe and drawers - I didn't even get out any of my summer clothes this year because I am mostly in maternity so I'm left with a wardrobe full of heavy knits that I'm  not going to be wearing for a few months either. I need to re-arrange and pull out the clothes that I'm realistically going to be able to wear over the next few months and give a whole load of old stuff to the charity shop! Oh and I also bought some of these from Amazon to store shoes under the bed which I thought would be a space saver.

  • Wash all the babies clothes - self explanatory but something I still need to do before she arrives!
If anyone can think of anything else or have any tips then do pass them my way and you can get more organising tips on this great Home Organisation Board on Pinterest.

Happy Cleaning!

Tuesday tales on Wednesday!

It is hot hot hot in the UK at the moment and we are sweltering! I don't like to complain though (even though I am 36 weeks pregnant!) because this kind of weather doesn't come about too often!!!

Here's what I am got up to this week!
  • Celebrating a good friends birthday at the Tooting Lido! Okay I didn't swim as I didn't fancy wearing a swim suit at this point in pregnancy but everyone else did!!
  • Lunch on Saturday in the sunshine
  • Little girls in our road selling cherries they had picked in their garden - I couldn't resist buying some!
  • Meeting these two handsome men for dinner on the Southbank where we gorged on summer meringues!
  • Will gifted me this gorgeous lantern which looks lovely on the decking! Thank you!

Kids Ninja Party!

My nephew is eight at the moment and I think its really difficult to find party themes for little boys that they would love! However I know how much he would love this Ninja party that I found on Hostess with the Mostess Blog styled and created by Paper and Cake (who are really worth checking out for printable party sets - there are some great themes!)

Some of my favourite details are the hand made masks and belts given as "dress up" for the party, the black and red colour scheme with the paper lanterns, the paper ninja cut outs! You just know how much fun the little guys had and that's what its all about really!

Click on over to Hostess with the Mostess to see the full write up by Jessica.

Tuesday Tales from the Week !

Sorry about the lack of posts yesterday - it was our 1 year anniversary on the weekend so we went away for a little mini break! The hubs also bought me some gorgeous peonies just like by wedding bouquet and I couldn't resist taking a couple of pictures to show you how they opened up and became super fluffy! I wish they would last forever!!

We also had a work away trip to the Design Museum, I hadn't been before and it was really inspiring. Here are a few pictures of my favourite exhibits. The Design Museum is at Butlers wharf and it was almost to the day that we had our pre wedding drinks there so I couldn't resist snapping this picture of me + 1 looking slightly different to a year ago!

Finally if you follow me on Instagram you will see that progress has started on the bathroom. Here is what it looked like in the very early stages when everything had been ripped out! More soon as we are still living in a building site for now!

Happy Tuesday!

Pregnancy Style: 32 weeks

Happy Friday all!

Today I'm sharing with you one of my favourite pregnancy outfits which is the Vivien Print T shirt dress from Isabella Oliver (Currently in the sale!)

I love the bold print on this and the fact that you can dress it up and down! I have worn it so many times! Here is me dressing it down for dinner in the pub with friends with my Oasis denim jacket and Zara flip flops

And equally styling it up with a rose gold belt from Oliver Bonas and Kate Spade shoes for my friend's lovely wedding!

Tuesday Tales from the Week on Wednesday!

Oops I’m one day late with this but do forgive me as I was catching up with some sleep last night after a full on weekend!  Here’s what I got up to!
  •  As blogged on Monday we had my father in law’s 70th rodeo party so I did a little bit of low key styling for this – click over for the pictures!
  • The weather was beautiful so the hubs and I had a BBQ in the garden on Sunday. Yum!
  • Friday saw one of my good friends visit London – we had a browse round the shops and I bought some make up from & other stories.  Its lovely quality!
  • We then had afternoon tea at the super lovely Number Sixteen hotel. I loved all the décor especially the bold furnishings and the bird art work, the crockery was super pretty too!

My Rodeo themed 70th Birthday !

Hi all!

Hope you had lovely weekends! The weather was glorious just in time for my father in law's 70th birthday party. I blogged last week that I had been designing the décor for this here and I thought I would show you how it turned out! It was so easy to put together and we didn't spend a lot! The party was a small affair - just family and close friends but everyone got into the cowboy spirit by dressing up!

The main details were
  • The email invitation was a digital file by Ianandlola over at Etsy. Super speedy service and great quality!
  • I made wanted posters from a free template by Glass Giant here and we stuck them on the trees.
  • Saloon signs and red napkins from Ebay
  • Red gingham and hessian fabric covered the tables. I just bought 10m from Ebay and cut it up.
  • We used tin cans for a fun game and mini tin cans filled with peanuts and a mini cactus from Ikea for the simple table centres.
  • Wooden plates, cutlery and striped straws from Pipii
