Happy Wednesday everyone!
Today I'm sharing a couple of pictures of part two of our honeymoon in Bali. We actually stayed in two places here, in Ubud (which I am showing you today) and Seminyak (more next week)
Ubud is a town towards the centre of the island of Bali and is situated on high ground amongst rice paddy fields so its tranquil and green and has a spiritual quality. Its actually where most of the film Eat Pray Love was set and we had some fun spotting locations! We stayed at a lovely hotel called Komaneka at Bisma which was Balinese in style with lots of dark woods and traditional textiles. Our suite was really stylish and had a huge balcony! The views to the forest were absolute stunning!
We did quite a lot of relaxing in Bali, wandering round the streets, doing a little shopping and of course some Balinese massages at the spa. Bliss! We also visited the Monkey forest which is a sacred nature reserve which houses a temple and also a large number of monkeys. It was really fun to wander round spotting them amongst the stunning scenery - although there were a little bit vicious!
More pictures next week of our time at the beach in Seminyak!
Have a lovely week!
