Now the bedroom is nearly finished I'm thinking about what to do with our bed. We have a king sized wooden sleigh bed that we are thinking about staining white as below. I love that slightly distressed look, it has such a calming feel.

We're also thinking about getting a mattress topper. We stayed in a hotel in Spain last year and the beds were so comfy. When we asked at the front desk there, they said they had mattress toppers. Have any of you tried them? I know they are common place in Scandinavia...
The White Company do some so I'm thinking I'm probably going to invest.

I've always gone for colourful duvet covers but this time as I'm going for a serene pure look so I think I might go for white maybe with some sort of subtle print like this one from
Zara Home below. I would also like a woollen blanket for the end of the bed. Isn't this one with the bird print from
Primrose & Plum so lovely - I love the Nordic Feel.
