Remember this post where I talk about painting the study navy?
Well its officially a work in progress....
Not only is my lovely man painting the walls but he also put up the coving too. Apparently the corner angles were a bit tricky but the coving really adds the finishing touch to the room. It looks so much better already especially since the original room was painted light blue with clouds and a rainbow on the wall!
We did have a bit of a tricky issue with the paint (which is Midnight by Sanctuary at Homebase) The different tins seemed to be different shades of the blue which was very irritating - we had to try and blend one colour into the other. Luckily it looks okay! Phew!
I cant wait to share the finished room with you - we still need to add pictures, a radiator cover, shelves and purchase a lamp and light shade, Oh and window dressings.. So plenty to do!
Hope you enjoyed a sneak peak into my home!

Love it. Great to see that you were brave with your colour choice because it's totally paid off. People are often scared of using darker hues, but this proves how fabulous they can make a room look and it isn't even finished! Speaking of finished - can't wait to see the finished space. Thanks for sharing, hun. xx
It looks like it will be very dramatic. I am looking forward to seeing the finished result.
Oh how exciting, cannot wait to see the finished room- fab blue colour which is right on trend! Love the blog, keep the great posts comming.

I LOVE that your painting it this dark color!! Can't wait to see the finished look!! Lamps are going to give this study an amazing sense of warmth and coziness!!
Oh I do love that dramatic deep blue! It's gorgeous - can't wait to see the finished room!
I've had problems with Homebase branded paint in the past - I pretty much stick to Dulux now primarily due to the colour matching but also because of the quality of the paint. So glad you were able to blend it all in - it's really going to look amazing when it's done and so right about the coving - just the finishing touch! xxx
