A Colourful Christmas: Decorating with Blue

What colour are you decorating your house with this year, Do you always go for the traditional red and green, Do you heart snowy white? Are you going au natural with a wooden natural theme or even going for something less traditional like blue!  Over the coming week or two I'm going to be taking you through Christmas decorating with colour starting with blue.

This post was inspired by my bestie Rosie and her fabulous tree at her gorgeous home in Sydney, Australia. She was kind enough to share her inspiration. Thank you Rosie Peach!

After moving to Sydney 4 years ago from the UK, Christmas just isn't Christmas out here & I don't feel the traditional reds, greens & golds work. The turquoise, silver & white reminds me of the beach & is a little cooler - perfect for an Aussie Christmas!

Thought this blue Christmas candle from Cath Kidston would look great grouped together on your Christmas table.

This stocking from ethical superstore would also be lovely hanging on the mantlepiece -and fairtrade too!

I love these teal candle holders from Next, perfect for a contemporary Christmas table.

These dramatic blue and sparkly baubles from Gisella Graham at Heals cant help but make a statement!

Thought these habitat tea light holders would be lovely dotted around the house.

These dotty cath kidston napkins would be great for Christmas day.

These pretty baubles from Susie Watson designs are some of the loveliest I have seen.

These stars from Not on the High Street are beautiful for the tree.
